We play music with all of our hearts and share it with the world. We transcend genres and play by our own rules. A band that follows its own passion with no constraints – that’s Hermit. I’ll keep singing as a solo artist “Yoko Takahashi”, whilst also creating music with Hermit. So that our music reaches as many people as possible, I’ll be singing in a variety of different languages.

Like: Fresh cream
Dislike: Warm food

Back in the day, when I was an assistant, I used to watch Kon-san and Yamaki-san with a gaze of admiration, as they were like gods and praised among session musicians; and STILL THEY ARE! / met Yoko through Neon Genesis Evangelion, and it’s so thrilling to be creating music with them and to be a part of the band. All I can say is I’m super honoured and appreciate it.
